Enhanced Financial Viability Assessment with a new scoring model
This new scoring model makes it much easier to interpret risk, compare suppliers, and understand what’s driving the result.
We’ve upgraded the Financial Viability Assessment with a new scoring model powered by the Fiable Score™. This change makes it easier to interpret results and understand the factors influencing delivery risk in your vendors.
Important: The Fiable Score™ will fully replace the current Pass / Fail / Requires Review outcome. From now on, every Financial Viability Assessment will show a 0–100 Fiable Score™ instead of the previous three‑tier result.
The Fiable Score™ is the only scoring model built specifically for assessing suppliers in the built environment, converting a wide range of financial and operational data into a single risk indicator, presented with intuitive colour‑coded bands.
What's New
1. A numerical score replaces Pass / Fail / Requires Review
The previous system provided limited differentiation. The new 0–100 score gives far more nuance and comparability between suppliers.
2. Visibility into the factors shaping the score
You’ll now see the key drivers behind the score, helping you understand what impacted the result, which was not previously available.
3. Intuitive colour‑coded risk bands
Each score is mapped to one of five simple categories: Very High, High, Average, Low, Very Low, which makes risk easy to interpret at a glance.
4. A Confidence Level showing data strength
Each assessment includes a Confidence Level (Low, Medium, High) based on the depth and reliability of data. This reflects data strength, not supplier performance.
Why we updated the scoring model
- Fairness and transparency
The new model better accounts for different business structures, resolving cases where the previous model created unintended automatic failures.
- More clarity for customers
Customers asked for clearer distinctions and more meaningful insights. The new score provides a wider, more interpretable range.
Is there anything customers need to do differently?
No changes needed, and everything will work just as it does today.
The new scoring model will roll out automatically, and all Financial Viability Assessments will now include the enhanced Fiable Score™.
Just order assessments as you normally do and open your reports the same way.
The only difference you’ll notice is a much easier to understand 0–100 score instead of the old Pass / Fail / Requires Review result.
